To conceal what exists, to suggest something that isn’t, might be the most important use of clothes. People wear clothes to appear different, to draw attention, to be invisible. To be overlooked in a rich an varied environment is impossible, but unavoidable. With bright colors and patterns we scream we don’t want to be seen.
